Greatest thing I have seen today.

I’d skip work to post items like this all day long.

Lets face it.  Over the past few years, California has been a Mecca for fiscal irresponsibility.  Foolish liberal open border and open language policies, massive welfare programs and government handouts- have all landed the crime-ridden state on the verge of bankruptcy.

Now, at the most inopportune time, enter Mother Nature.  Fires are once again  raging across California and now look to threaten many millions of dollars worth of communications facilities and private residencies.  I can’t help but think- if our state and federal governments were actually responsible with our money- states like California would have been running budget surpluses for the past few years.  These surplus’ could go to something like- oh I dunno, a ‘rainy day’ (or in this case a fire raging day) fund.  This fund would have allowed the State to dedicate higher funding levels to firefighting technology and staffing and would allow the state to give back to the affected residents and businesses whom have so loyally paid their taxes for their entire lives.  Instead, Cali’s lack of fiscal responsibility and love for ‘helping people’ is going to achieve just the opposite affect.  People who should be helped in this situation by a thrifty and well-prepared government, will be forced to fight for funding with the millions of ‘entitled’ Californians.

Whisperings of a Federal bailout for the State of California have been adrift for quite some time now and I fear these whisperings will now lead to a dull roar.  The principles are simple- this is becoming a very costly disaster, and California is broke.   In a move that will be yet another stride in burying the constitution’s heavily armored division between state and federal government- California will push forward on seeking a federal bailout.  It is an inevitable symptom of the socialist policies are taking our country by storm- largely beginning with the Bush bailouts- and tripled by the Obama administration.  It is the entitlement mentality- and it will continue to grow stronger than it has ever been in this country.

Liberalism got California where it is… and liberalism will be their attempted pathway out.

Go here

Now, I’m not telling you anything you don’t already know. Teddy hasn’t been buried yet, and the Democratic Ghouls are busy at work hijacking his name to try and distract attention from the epic failure in progress that is Obamacare.

Don’t fall for it. Don’t call it anything other than Obamacare. Keep the pressure up.

Do not let anyone re-frame this naked grab for power.

Get your letters out to your Senators and Representatives, let them know that you won’t allow this to be re-framed or re-defined.

Here is a link to all the fax and e-mail numbers and addresses to the Congress. Use them, and make beloved leader’s plan fail.

Here you go!

Further proof that Beloved Leader and his crew know what’s going on in the government at all levels at all times. Criminals take care of their own, right?

Yeah right.

Hi kids,

Godwhacker here. Time to look at the headlines today and see what’s up. What follows is my opinion and mine alone. If you disagree, leave me a note, I loves me some debate.

Beloved Leader is taking credit for throwing the deficit into the crapper, oddly enough now his figures now match the CBO. He must have run out of ways to lie about it. But don’t worry, it’s all GWB’s fault somehow. What a pile of shit. After spending more dough in six months than all the rest of the presidents combined, all we have to show for it are multi-trillion deficits as far as the eye can see, near 10% unemployment, and an economy that will contract 2.8% this year. Way to go loser.

You can’t blame Bush anymore when under your watch you triple the deficit in one freaking year.

And let’s talk about racism for a minute shall we? Upon beloved leader’s election racism has been taken off the table. Permanently. We now live in a country where Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision has come true. That you will be judged by the content of your character, not by the color of your skin. Sorry beloved leader, your character comes up short. The people you associate with, your inability to accept fault when due, and the treasonous bent your administration has taken will sink you and yours. And good riddance.

Healthcare. When Hillary made her naked grab for 1/7 of the economy as an unelected, unentitled First Lady, she was slapped down as she should have been. And it was laid to rest. Until now. Now, in a one finger salute to the people they were elected to serve, Democrats and less than a double handful of turncoat RINOs are engaging in nothing less than a war against the capitalist system, and the American people will be the unwilling prisoners of that war. This ain’t about heathcare, it’s about control, it’s about having all your information in one spot, so you may be more effectively and efficiently controlled. Follow the money, it’s not going to better care, it’s going to creating more government workers to manage your life. Read the bill, all the heads of the various committee’s and panels serve at the behest and pleasure of beloved leader, not anyone accountable to the American people or the Congress. Speaking of the unaccountable, how many Czars do we have going on right now? Do you think there is anything that’s restraining them? Do you think the people have any way to control them? Sorry, the toadies, groupies, and hangers-on of beloved leader aren’t accountable to Congress.

How about the stimulus? You know that one, that wasn’t supposed to be packed with pork, but was anyway. With less than 20% out, it doesn’t seem to have helped much, other than creating some part time busy work jobs. And a lot of administrative jobs shoveling pork to the peasants. Call on Congress to suspend this bill, and return the money to offset the ever-growing deficit. Same with the banks who are returning their TARP money, don’t let this dough be re-purposed by Frank, Pelosi, Reid. Put it back, and leave it alone.

The AG Holder? This guy wants to witchhunt the CIA for keeping us safe by squeezing some scumbags for info? Screw him and his boss.

I never had much use for Leon Panetta during the Clinton years, but I have to admit a grudging admiration for the man as the head of the CIA. Go Leon!! Don’t knuckle under, defend your people, and do the nation’s work, not the administration’s work.

More to come……….

Here is the original article I wrote about the CEO of  Whole Foods op-ed on the WSJ site.

Today, I went to Whole Foods to do a little shopping, and maybe a little snooping about.

I took some exterior shots as I was walking in, and I grabbed a cart for a quick spin around.

It’s really nice looking place, lots of fresh produce with little sample stands all over the place. everything was stocked full up, and there were a lot of people working all over the store. I, of course was interested in the meat department, so I headed over there. I stopped to snap a pic of the seafood case, and one of the employees came over to inform me that taking pictures was a BIG no-no. When I asked why, and told him why I was there, he was happy to refer me to a manager who might be able to help me.

I ambled over to the check out area, and asked one of the cashiers if I could talk to a manager in charge, and why I wanted to. She was very nice, and when I asked her about whether she had been aware of people boycotting, due to the op-ed piece in the WSJ, she admitted hearing about it, but hadn’t seen anything odd at this location.

The floor manager showed up, by the name of Daniel. I introduced myself, and told him why I was there. He was pleasant, but guarded when I asked if he was aware of any boycotting, or any new customers coming in because of the op-ed. He implied that the two groups seemed to even themselves out, and that appeared to be as much as he was going to be willing to admit. He brought me over to the customer service area, where I was given a company photo shoot request. I will fill it out, send it to the home office, and inform you on the results.

As for the rest of my snoop/shopping trip goes, this place is a license to print money. The shelves are being constantly being stocked and faced. the meat department is small, and well stocked with poultry, seafood and beef comes up last in the equation. Organic is the word of the day, and there are many organic products which are packaged to look like major brands with a “organic” banner.

There is a good looking bakery, deli, and you can get a rotisserie chicken, or a pizza. There is also a “Jamba Juice” bar in the store, but I was not quite that brave, and I am not sure what a “Jamba” is anyway. I do like a nice Orange Julius from time to time, though.

As for my purchases, I found a bag of salt and pepper potato chips, a bottle of  bar-b-que sauce, and a four pack of some Jamaican Ginger beer I favor.

I will update this if and or when I get an up or down on the picture request from the Whole Foods home office.

Oh those pesky unsolicited e-mails!

Here is the explanation offered by The White House  for spamming for heath care.

When they hired them, it’s just like they did it themselves. Not to mention how they acquired said names is somewhat suspect.

I’m not sayin’, I’m just sayin”.

Here is my original article on the “cash for clunkers” debacle-in-progress.

As of yesterday 8-21-09, from news i was watching there have been approximately 486,000 cars purchased under this program. And with the program being ended on Monday, I am sure there will be a rush to “get the free money” over the weekend.

So, there will be in all likelihood be at least 500,000 “clunkers” taken off the road. For the sake of argument, let’s say 25% of these are really in need of coming out of service on day to day use.  So we have 375,000 cars that could be re-purposed for use by non-profit organisations to provide training for low-income students looking to get into a trade. Then those cars can be donated to low income families who have a need for reliable transportation. The remaining 125,000 would have had a greater effect being donated to veteran’s or other organisations who could use the money to help their own, and in turn help the auto recycling industry.

All these do one of two things, they provide training to assist people to get jobs, and when you are recycling these vehicles you create jobs. The vehicles put on the street need to be maintained, and the the ones being scrapped need to be disassembled.

Now let’s turn to who benefits from the program as it is. The inability of the government to react to the program is being well documented right now. Dealers are not being paid back in a timely fashion, and are having to float the government out of their own pockets. One dealership I saw on the news yesterday has 5.5 million out on this program, and has only received back less than $50,000. Dealers in NY are bailing on the program, and rightly so. Oops, I guess the dealers aren’t benefiting right now.

Well how about the car manufacturers? Well, 70% of the cars sold under the program are imports! To be fair, The import players have factories here in the US, but the point of this exercise was to sell Big 3 autos, right? So now, all the factories are ramping up for a short run of product to make up inventory levels. How long do you think this will last? 30-90 days? Or to quote myself  “And lets not forget the the lapdogs of the administration, the UAW. By creating an artificial demand, (with your tax dollars) there is an opportunity here to show a quarter of growth on the books, which can be trumpeted as proof that bailing out GM and Chrysler was yet another genius stroke by beloved leader and his cronies.”

So what have we done here?

1. Proven that the Government is incapable of administering a simple program. No timely payments, and it takes 12 different forms to get the dough in the first place.

2. Proven that hardly anyone wants to buy a car from a Government car manufacturer (i.e. GM and Chrysler).

3. Proven that without Taxpayer financing no one is interested in replacing a so-called clunker.

4. Proven that the Administration will take your money to fabricate false economic numbers to prop up their bad decisions. (GM and Chrysler)

5. Proven that the Administration really doesn’t care about middle to low income people. (destroying rather than re-purposing vehicles)

Given all this, why would anyone even consider that there is any quantifiable reason to let them into health care?

Henry Waxman (D-Cali.) Chair of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, has made a gangster move towards the heads of the insurance companies here in the US.

Go here for the letters sent out.

This is nothing more than a shakedown, and co-operation in this matter by anyone in the insurance industry would seem to me like drinking poison and expecting someone else to die. Most of this information can be procured publicly, and what cannot be, is the business of the companies, not the government.

Republican members of the Committee are:

Joe Barton,TX, Ralph M. Hall, TX, Cliff Stearns, FL, Nathan Deal, GA, Ed Whitfield, KY, John Shimkus, IL, John B. Shadegg, AZ, Roy Blunt, MO, Steve Buyer, IN, George Radanovich, CA, Joseph R. Pitts, PA, Mary Bono Mack, CA, Greg Walden, OR, Lee Terry, NE, Mike Rogers, MI, Sue Wilkins Myrick, NC, John Sullivan, OK, Tim Murphy, PA, Michael C. Burgess, TX, Marsha Blackburn, TN, Phil Gingrey, GA, Steve Scalise, LA

If indeed this ever gets to a special committee, I would hope that any Republican members would renounce it publicly, and walk out on the proceedings.

As for Henry Waxman, this is a guy who was more than likely beat up frequently as a kid, and is taking it out on the rest of us, has managed to hold office for as long as he has by bringing home the pork to his district, or just counting on the ignorance of his constituents. Either way, he is a danger that needs to be dealt with.
